Portillo Malbec 2011 | The most internationally awarded Argentinian Malbec in 2012

Bodegas Salentein's Portillo Malbec 2011 was the most awarded Argentinian Malbec in 2012, both nationally and internationally.

Portillo Malbec 2011 achieved the Decanter International Trophy, the top award that a wine may get at the most important contest of Europe: The Decanter World Wine Awards, organised by DECANTER, the most prestigious English magazine specialised in wine. 

With this award that highlights the best wines in each category, Portillo Malbec completed 4 outstanding awards to date.

  

This time, 14,000 wine samples from all over the world and 700 wines from Argentina were submitted. After getting the Trophy as best Malbec of the world, with a price under £10, Portillo Malbec 2011 competed with all the varietal wines of the world in its category and achieved the International Trophy, that means the award "best varietal wine of the world" in its category.

  

In May, it got the Regional Trophy in the category Argentinian Malbec under £10 in the Decanter World Wine Awards.

 

Portillo Malbec 2011 lifted the Decanter International Trophy, the highest honor that a wine can have on Europe's premier competition, the Decanter World Awards, organized by the magazine about wine, the more prestigious of England; DECANTER.
